Brief guide for beginners...This is basic first step guide to update and secure you computer.

The following instructions will help you keep your computer working properly and up to date.

Download Critical updates:

a) Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.

B) Follow instructions to download and install critical updates.

C) You have to restart if prompted, and then start from step A again and again until all updates have been downloaded.

Virus Scan /and or firewall update.

Microsoft finally (one day after many many requests...) decided to offer free antivirus. If you use an Antivirus already the instructions are very similar.

Click on the update button to download the latest updates for your Antivirus.
